The cottage 'Am Schänzjen' is situated on the southern edge of the small village of Born, in the heart of the Belgian Eifel and at the entrance to the Ardennes.
Born borders to the German-Belgian High Fens Eifel Nature Park.
The most prominent landmark of the village is the 100-year-old Freiherr von Korff Bridge. With its 11 arches, the bridge spans the Vennbahn cycle path. This cycle path leads over 125 km from Aachen across 'Ostbelgien' (eastern Belgium) to Troisvierges in the north of Luxembourg.
That's why Born is an ideal starting point for your cycling tour – whether by e-bike, by mountain bike or by racing bike. Simply enter a 1.300 km long signpoted cycling network.
